Confirm v26.20 and ConfirmConnect™

We are delighted to announce that the latest release of our industry leading Enterprise Asset Management solution, Confirm® is now available in the OnDemand Production and Test Environments.

 

The enhancements since the last release include:

 

Supported Technology and Platforms

Support Withdrawal Notice

With effect from Confirm v26.20, the Mapping Interface for ESRI ArcMap 10.2.2 to 10.8.1 and ESRI ArcGIS Pro 2.4 to 2.9.8 will cease support. This will be replaced by the ArcGIS 2-Way Sync.

 

General Functionality

Mendix Custom Forms in Confirm Web

Mendix Custom Forms can now be launched directly from the Asset, Enquiry, Defect, and Job screens in Confirm Web.

A new Apps & Links section brings together Product Integrations, application links, and Custom Forms under a single, organised menu.

 

Customisable Search Columns

Users can now add, remove, and reorder columns to customise search results according to their requirements, with changes reflected immediately on screen. Results can also be sorted by any

displayed column, making it easier to prioritise and analyse data. Additionally, users can export up to 1,000 records in a single action directly from the search page.

 

Open Geospatial Consortium is now supported in confirm GIS

Confirm Web GIS now supports OGC connections, allowing users to integrate and display map layers from external, standards-based GIS services WMS, WFS, and WMTS.

New OGC Connection features enable Confirm Web GIS to connect with external GIS services, providing access to diverse map layers and geospatial data.

 

ConfirmConnect®

Browsers

ConfirmConnect is now fully supported on Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

 

Android Devices

Android 16 is now supported.

 

Ability to open Defects directly from What's Going On Here Map

Users can now view full Defect record details directly by selecting the Defect record on the map.

 

Users can also supersede Defects (where permitted), save changes as a draft, or submit updates immediately without leaving the map view.

 

The Defect icon on the map dynamically reflects the current status of the Defect.

NOTE  Access is controlled by existing security permissions.

 

Add Defect Search

Users can now search and filter Defects from the Defects list using search criteria such as number, type, description, or location when linking an Enquiry or carrying out Inspections/Surveys in ConfirmConnect.

This allows for quick and efficient identification of the correct Defect, eliminating the

need to scroll through long lists.

 

Reduced White Space in Attributes Section

ConfirmConnect now provides a concise and cleaner screen layout with reduced white space in the Attributes section, enabling Inspectors to view more information at a glance with less scrolling.

 

Confirm Web Interface

Advanced Filtering for Features: Filter by Attributes

Confirm Web now supports advanced filtering of Feature records using attribute values such as pick lists, free text, numeric fields, and dates, enabling users to quickly and accurately find specific records.

 

Advanced Filtering for Enquiry, Defect and Job: Filter by Attributes

Confirm Web now enables advanced filtering of Enquiry, Defect, and Job records using attribute values. These include pick lists, free text, numeric fields, and dates, allowing users to quickly and accurately identify specific records.

 

Confirm Enterprise Browser Engine Upgrade

Confirm Enterprise now uses CefSharp to render embedded Confirm Web screens, delivering a more secure, stable, and seamless experience. By replacing the outdated CefGlue component with modern technology, it enhances security, resolves existing issues for improved reliability, and reduces maintenance effort.

Rebranding to Siemens Software

Brightly is now Siemens. Same world-class software, new look and feel.

 

From v22.10, the Confirm product suite has been rebranded to align with Siemens.

 

This update introduces Siemens branding across the application, replacing previous Brightly Software branding within customer-facing screens and supporting documentation.

 

The support email displayed in help documentation reflects the new Siemens address for the Support Team.

As part of this transition, support contact information has also been updated, and help documentation now reflects the Siemens Support Team email address.

 

This rebranding does not affect product functionality and is intended to provide a consistent experience across the Siemens Confirm software offerings.

  • Inspection Route Editing in Web: Users can add, edit, and remove Inspection Route Features, reducing reliance on legacy tools and speeding up inspection setup.

  • Refined Enquiry Prioritisation: Users can filter Enquiries by outstanding or completed status, allowing quicker prioritisation of work and improved service responsiveness.

  • Order Management in Web: Users can create and manage Job Orders entirely in the Confirm web interface, including Job associations, enabling simpler maintenance planning without switching systems.

  • Accurate Asset Geometry in Surveys: Users can view precise asset geometries during Route Surveys in ConfirmConnect, enabling more accurate inspections and higher confidence in recorded data.

  • Inline Defect Creation During Surveys: Users can create and complete Defects without leaving the survey screen in ConfirmConnect, resulting in faster inspections and improved data completeness.

  • Cleaner Defect Data on Supersede: Users automatically retain only relevant attributes when Defect types change in ConfirmConnect, ensuring higher data quality and more reliable reporting.

  • Integration & Compliance with Street Manager

  • Prevents duplicate non-compliance records by prompting users to link existing NCs when creating new inspections for the same permit. This improves data consistency between Confirm and Street Manager, reducing rework and mitigating compliance risks.

  • Streamlining multi trench Permit processing by generating a single inspection and non compliance record, reducing duplication and simplifying data management. This ensures alignment with Street Manager workflows, improving data accuracy, reporting, and compliance.
